NEASC Parent Survey

posted Nov 26, 2019, 9:36 AM by Kadion Phillips

During our November professional development day, the OHS Faculty worked on developing our Vision of the Graduate. A VOG complements our Core Values and Beliefs and consists of the skill set we want Oxford students to acquire by the time they graduate.  After reviewing evidence based documents and much deliberation, the Faculty proposed nine skill sets: Communication, Global Citizenship, Critical Thinking/Problem Solving, Teamwork/Collaboration, Resilience, Accountability, Literacy, Work Ethic, Creativity/Innovation.

We would appreciate your input as parents/guardians to prioritize these skill sets. You can complete the survey by going to https://forms.gle/UcHbwgL24LdELXQ76. You can complete the survey by ranking the skill sets from 1(most important) to 9 (least important). Your input will help us further develop our Vision of the Graduate which will be presented to the School Committee.

2018-2019 Summer School

posted Jun 12, 2019, 10:24 AM by Leslie Sullivan   [ updated Jun 19, 2019, 5:26 AM by Kadion Phillips ]

Oxford High School will be holding Summer School starting Wednesday, June 19 and will run through Thursday, July 25.  School will NOT be in session on Thursday, July 4 or Friday, July 5, 2019.

Transportation to and from Summer School will be the parent's responsibility.

The Summer School session is 25 days.  In an effort to maximize instructional time and provide a classroom climate conducive to learning, students will follow our student handbook, attendance policy, classroom procedures and display appropriate behavior at all times.  Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the program.

If a student has BELOW the qualifying mark of 50 in any subject and wishes to attend summer school, THEY MUST PROVIDE A LETTER OF APPEAL ALONG WITH THIS APPLICATION.  The letter should be addressed to OHS Administration/Director of Summer School.

Please note that only 2 absences will be allowed before a student loses credit in Summer School.  Three tardies to class equals one absence.

Successful completion of classes in our Summer School program will be added to your child's transcript and used to fulfill requirements to be promoted to the next grade level or to fulfill graduation requirements.
